The CHL has brought back Art-n-Alternative Spaces just in time for Halloween.
Our theme for 2009 is "Gods and Monsters," and the show will be on display at The Community Heritage Partners / Not Bad Design Studio on Grant Street.
Art-n-Alternative Spaces is a collection of work by CHL members who all work around a central theme.
Refreshments will be provided.
We are currently looking for artists to display work - if you're interested check out our page notes for details.

CALL FOR ARTISTS
Theme: gods and monsters
Objective: to display art in local “alternative” venues in order to promote CHL members, the venue/facility, and to bring other forms of art to the community. Also to offer an outlet for commercial artists and emerging artists who are in need of a place to show their artwork.
Guidelines: This is a themed Event There are, of course, no limitations to how creative the piece should be. The show will be on display on October 2nd - Artist Reception at 6:30 that night. All work must be submitted by October 1st.
1. Each piece should be under 10in x 10in and must be able to be pinned to a cork board wall. No framed pieces. Example could be a sketch you've done, a photo you've taken, even a poem you've written. We'll even have room for projected work and even sculpture.
2. One piece per person.
3. Labeled on back with artist name, contact info, pricing (if you want to sell your work)
4. Each artist is responsible for bringing their artwork to the venue and to assist with placement.
